Karim Darbaki ready for another year of UPSL Challenge

In the Spring of 2020, Granite City FC announced that Karim Darbaki would be taking over from Zunu Johns as the new head coach for the Rocks.

His first major competition was the Minnesota Goals Cup in the summer of 2020 reaching the semi-finals and losing to Maplebrook SC before losing another semi-final to FC Minneapolis later that year in the Minnesota Fall Cup.

Granite City FC was able to finish the 2021 summer season of the UPSL in 3rd place and was able to qualify for a playoff spot in the Midwest Conference West Division under Karim’s leadership.
